A young man wishes to leave his old life and travel the world. While at the bank to withdraw his savings the bank is robbed and the young man taken hostage. He ends up in the cellar of the bank, locked up with a desperate man holding a gun. Both him and the robber must solve their problems before time runs out. As the two men spend time together, they learn to know each other just enough to earn a little trust. The young man decides to help the robber in his final escape attempt. They head for the roof, only to discover that it is another dead end. In their final minutes they sit down and learn eachothers stories.
