Off Season was funded by the UK Film Council and shot on location at the birthplace of the UK Film Industry, Shoreham-by-Sea, on the south-east coast of England. The windswept south coast out-of-season was the perfect landscape to tell the nuanced story of a broken family on the mend. Daniel Roche of the BBC's critically acclaimed comedy 'Outnumbered' plays Nick, a child seeking to find out the truth about a dog involved in a bizarre accident. New York actor Paul Sparks plays the father desperately trying to protect his son from a truth they both already know. Off Season attempts to capture the beauty, strangeness, sadness, and humour that exists in tiny moments between people.
